Job Title: Physician
Summary: Prevents, diagnoses and treats medical conditions necessary for the care and treatment of patients in their home.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluates and treats each patient visited in the patient’s home environment..

Effectively communicating with the Mobile Doctor’s Staff, health professionals, clients and family, with regards to the provision of medical services.

Assess complex individuals using a range of different assessment/diagnostic methods and research valid, reliable and comprehensive patient and client-centered conclusions appropriate to needs, context and culture.

Make specific interventions based on evidence and which are appropriate to assessed needs, confer and refer where indicated.

Actively promote preventative care and early intervention

Perform minor surgical procedures when required

Be an understanding and compassionate physician while being able to listen to the patients and addressing their needs

Write/order prescriptions.

Completes all necessary documentation of the patients visit in accordance with Mobile Doctors forms

Complete necessity paperwork for nursing agencies and outside vendors in a timely manner.

Sign all care plans, nursing orders, medical equipment orders and other necessary paperwork in a timely fashion.

If applicable, does after hours ON CALL for those in need of medical advice. This entails making medical decisions over the phone for patients and their families and taking appropriate measures.

Be a good, caring physician and empathic physician

Participate in continuing education and courses updating medical techniques and information

Qualification Requirements

License to practice medicine
Communication Skills

Good listening and communication skills, including being able to explain medical terminology and treatment in simple but appropriate detail
